Bridesmaids and The Heat director Paul Feig will be helming the new Ghostbusters reboot, but rather than using an all male cast as before, we’re to be treated to an all female cast.

Bridesmaids and The Heat co-star and Feig regular Melissa McCarthy had already signed on as one of the four leads. But now Paul Feig and Sony have completed negotiating with Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon to complete the lineup made famous during the 80s by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis.

Both Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig are no strangers when it comes to director Paul Feig, as the pair have worked with him before with their breakout roles in Bridesmaids.

It’s too early to speculate on who will play who although, my money is on Saturday Night Live comedienne Leslie Jones playing a female version of the Ernie Hudson character, Winston Zeddmore.

According to Paul Feig on Twitter, the film is slated for release on July 22nd, 2016. Remember to mark your calendars!
