Harrison Ford has been in the acting business for years, yet he has never taken on a role in an animated feature. That is about to change, as Ford has joined The Secret Life of Pets 2 movie.
While Harrison Ford is 75 years old, he is not slowing down any time soon. He had a pretty stellar performance in Blade Runner 2049 last year, as well as his memorable performance as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Not only that, but Ford will be returning for the fifth time as Indiana Jones, which has Steven Spielberg directing.
There is still time before Indiana Jones 5 cranks up, but Ford will be busy in the meantime. Deadline reports that Ford will be giving a voice performance in the animated sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2. This is his first-ever role in an animated feature film. Besides Ford, Tiffany Haddish, Patton Oswalt, Nick Kroll and Pete Holmes have also joined the cast of The Secret Life of Pets sequel. Besides the new additions, Kevin Hart, Jenny Slate, Eric Stonestreet, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Dana Carvey, Hannibal Buress and Bobby Moynihan will return from the original.
The first Secret Life of Pets was released in 2016 and grossed a massive $875 million at the worldwide box office. Louis C.K. voiced the lead role of Max in the first movie, but after his sexual assault controversy, he was dropped from the sequel. Rumors say that Patton Oswalt will be taking over the role of Max for the sequel. There has been no mention of what Ford's character will be, so time will tell on that one.
