Phillip Goldfine is an Oscar-winning producer and founder of Hollywood Media Bridge. He has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, like Hilary Swank, Katherine Heigl and Jack Black. Influx Magazine was lucky enough to get the chance to ask Goldfine some questions, so you can check out our Phillip Goldfine interview below!
Influx Magazine - You worked with some big names over the years, like Hilary Swank and Katherine Heigl. What has that experience been like?
Goldfine - IT'S ALWAYS AMAZING WHEN YOU WORK WITH TALENT THAT YOU KNOW JUST "HAS IT." IT DOESN'T HAPPEN OFTEN, SO WHEN YOU SEE SOMEONE WITH RAW TALENT AND STRONG SKILLS YOU'RE JUST IN AWE. I'VE BEEN BLESSED TO WORK WITH SO MANY AMAZING PEOPLE. CERTAINLY HILARY SWANK IS ONE AMAZING TALENT. KATHERINE HEIGL COULD NOT HAVE BEEN NICER. JACK BLACK HAD EVERYONE LITERALLY IN STITCHES ON THE BEST BACK WHEN WE WORKED WITH HIM. JUST A SUPER AMAZING GUY. OF COURSE, SHIRLEY MACLAINE IS ICONIC IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORLD AND WAS A DREAM TO WORK WITH.
Influx Magazine - What are you currently working on?
Goldfine - I CAN TELL YOU THAT WE ARE BLESSED WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF MOVIE AND TELEVISION PROJECTS. BESIDES HAVING MULTIPLE FILMS IN PRE-PRODUCTION AND POST-PRODUCTION, WE ARE CURRENTLY DELIVERING NO FEWER THAN 9 MOTION PICTURES AND TWO TELEVISION SERIES.
Influx Magazine - What will fans see next from you?
Goldfine - VERY SHORTLY THEY'LL BE ABLE TO SEE OUR TWO TELEVISION PROGRAMS. AGE OF THE LIVING DEAD IS SET SLIGHTLY IN THE FUTURE AND PITS VAMPIRES AGAINST HUMANS FOR CONTROL OF THE WORLD. THE SECOND SERIES, FEEL THE DEAD IS ABOUT A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. WE ALSO HAVE BATTLE DRONE NOW ON NETFLIX AS OF MARCH 1ST AND WE HAVE MANY OTHER LINED UP. STAY TUNED.
Influx Magazine - In September, you revealed you were working on breaking a world swimming record. How has that journey been going?
Goldfine - I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED. A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT I REALLY DO INTEND TO BREAK THE RECORD. I HAVE LITERALLY CHANGED MY LIFE WITH SWIMMING. FIRST, I LOST 60 POUNDS. SECOND, I'M FITTER THAN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL. SO THE JOURNEY IS IN PROCESS (AND IT IS A PROCESS) BUT I FEEL EVERY DAY I'M TRAINING (AND I TRY A MINIMUM OF 5 DAYS PER WEEK AND PREFERABLY 6) I AM THAT MUCH CLOSER TO THE GOAL.
Influx Magazine - The #MeToo movement and Time's Up initiatives have been the talk of the award season. What impact do you think it will have on Hollywood in the long run?
Goldfine - OH, I ABSOLUTELY THINK HOLLYWOOD WILL BE ALL THE BETTER FOR IT. I THINK, FINALLY, THERE WILL BE EQUALITY AND I DEFINITELY THINK IT WILL MAKE THE COMMUNITY A KINDER GENTLER PLACE WHERE, WOMEN IN PARTICULAR, WILL NOT HAVE TO FEAR BEING ABUSED.
Influx Magazine - Anything to add or projects you want to talk about?
Goldfine - I FEEL I'VE BEEN BLESSED BY MY WORK IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. SO FOR THE FIRST TIME, I'M GOING TO ATTEMPT TO MENTOR 25 PEOPLE IN A 2 DAY VIP SEMINAR. THIS WILL BE FOR ANYONE REALLY, BUT I'M SURE THAT IT WILL ATTRACT PEOPLE WHO HAVE SOME TYPE OF ENTERTAINMENT DREAM. I HAVE ONLY 22 SPOTS OPEN AND FOR ANYONE WHO HAS A DREAM I'M GOING TO ATTEMPT TO FULFILL IT FOR THEM ON THE STUDIO LOT APRIL 26TH AND 27TH. GO TO www.hollywoodmediabridge.com FOR MORE INFO.
