The remake of the 1989 cult classic, Kickboxer, started production last week. The film is shooting in New Orleans, Louisiana and Thailand.

The high-octane remake of the world famous Kickboxer stars Jean-Claude Van Damme (Kickboxer), WWE superstar Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), former UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Thai supermodel Sara Malakul Lane and introduces Alain Moussi (X-Men: Days of Future Past) to lead this franchise back into action.

Kickboxer follows Kurt Sloan (Moussi), a talented martial artist who travels to Thailand where he must learn the secrets of the kickboxer to avenge his brother’s death at the hands of Tong Po (Bautista).

“It will be fun to watch Gina as the sneaky and dangerous temptress, a boa constrictor of this fighting jungle,” said Field. “Watch out kickboxers!”
