This is a new cut for Monty Python and the Holy Grail, created by Stéphane Bouley. He has posed the question “what if Monty Python and the Holy Grail was released today?” and has created this trailer from scratch to better suite this age of action and effects hungry fans, and brought out the shots that will appeal more. I think his question is a very valid one. It is true that now we have the technology to bring everything and anything to life, we rely less on the story and more on the special effects, which is really not a good thing, because not so long ago we only used the effects as props or a way to enhance the story, but now the effects are becoming the story themselves. Monty Python and the Holy Grail was all about the writing, wacky performances and brilliant humor, they even used coconut shells instead of horses. Have a look at the video and see if you think it will appeal to today’s generation as much as it did to fans back in 1975, which actually makes the movie almost 40 years old.
