Slab: Agony of Da Feet

Rating: C+

Onset Records

Since 1992 this Upland, California band has been carving out there own brand of pop punk. The “Agony of Da Feet” e.p. was released just prior to their last tour across this vast country of ours. It’s too bad they cheesed on the packaging. These six songs are about what you would expect of pop punk. Nothing new…very upbeat yet cynical. The only thing I don’t get is that they have a re-mix on this release. Hey, punk rock is not about re-mixes.

It should comes as no surprise that Slab’s music has been featured in various skate, snowboard and BMX videos. This is due to the help of their sponsor, Utility Board Shop. Hey, punk rock is not about sponsors, what gives here?
