The pair star in this real-life feud and subsequent friendship between civil rights activist Ann Atwater and former Ku Klux Klan leader C.P. Ellis in Durham, N.C. Take a look at The Best of Enemies trailer below!

This movie is based on Osha Gray Davidson’s book, The Best of Enemies: Race and Redemption in the New South. We get to see Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee Henson play Atwater and Oscar winner Rockwell portray Ellis. Here is the official synopsis from STXfilms:

"Based on a true story, THE BEST OF ENEMIES centers on the unlikely relationship between Ann Atwater (Henson), an outspoken civil rights activist, and C.P. Ellis (Rockwell), a local Ku Klux Klan leader who reluctantly co-chaired a community summit, battling over the desegregation of schools in Durham, North Carolina during the racially-charged summer of 1971. The incredible events that unfolded would change Durham and the lives of Atwater and Ellis forever."

The Best of Enemies cast also includes Wes Bentley, Anne Heche and Bruce McGill. Check out The Best of Enemies trailer here:
