'The Equalizer 2' Trailer: Denzel Washington Returns In His First-Ever Sequel

Denzel Washington has had a storied career in Hollywood. He has appeared in many movies, but over that time, he has never done a sequel to any of his movie. That is crazy, but the time has come to change that, as The Equalizer 2 trailer was released.

In the trailer, you hear Robert McCall (Washington) say, “They killed my friend. So I’m going to kill each and every one of them, and my only disappointment is I only get to do it once.”

Washington will star in his first sequel ever, as he plays McCall again. Sony describes McCall as a man who “serves an unflinching justice for the exploited and oppressed – but how far will he go when that is someone he loves?”

The Equalizer 2 is directed by Antoine Fuqua and is written by Richard Wenk. It is based on the old television series created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim.

Besides hearing a lot of bones cracking in the trailer, we also see a conversation between McCall and his old cohort, who is played by Melissa Leo. He says, “I thought you were retired,” to which she responds, “Oh, I am, just like you’re dead.”

The Equalizer 2 also stars Pedro Pascal, Ashton Sanders and Bill Pullman. Check out The Equalizer 2 trailer here:
