Charlize Theron is back and starring in the new comedy called Tully, which debuted it's first trailer today. No dramatic role this time around, as Theron plays a mom and is having a difficult time in life. Check out the Tully trailer below!
In the trailer, it starts with a scene between Mark Duplass and Charlize Theron. Duplass' character is trying to talk Theron into using a night nanny, as he said they “take care of the baby at night so mom and dad can get some sleep." Theron, his sister in the movie, was not too excited about that option. She said, "I don’t want a stranger in my house. That’s like a Lifetime movie where the nanny tries to kill the family and the mom survives and she has to walk with a cane at the end.”
Tully is directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. Everyone is very familiar with each other, as Theron starred in Reitman and Cody's 2011 movie Young Adult. Also, the writer and director teamed up together back in 2007 for Juno.
For this new movie, Theron plays a mother of three, including a newborn. She does take her brother's advice, as she gets a smiling night nanny, who is named Tully (Halt and Catch Fire alum Mackenzie Davis). In the trailer, Tully says, “I’m here to take care of you." Marlo, played by Theron, replied, "I’m just not used to people doing things for me.” While Marlo is hesitant at first, the two end up forming a strong bond together.
If you are a parent, you may easily relate to this new movie. Check out the Tully trailer here:
