We have a new Deadpool 2 trailers, which gives us a ton of action shots featuring the incoming villain Cable, who is played by Josh Brolin. The trailer brings us back to that Deadpool style that we all have come to love, as the trailer pauses in the middle to give us a Toy Story spoof before getting back into the action.
Things get serious after that scene, as we see Cable say, “People think they understand pain, but they have no concept of it. What’s the most pain you’ve ever felt?” From there, let the punching and fighting begin!
According to Vulture, Cable has a very complicated comic backstory. This is not the first time he has appeared alongside Deadpool, as they teamed up for a buddy comic series called Cable & Deadpool. In Deadpool 2, we get to see Cable as a time-traveling cybernetic mutant soldier. And get ready to see a lot more of Cable, as Brolin has signed a deal to play the character in at least three more films, including the upcoming X-Force movie.
With the release of this Deadpool 2 trailer, we also got the "official synopsis" for the movie, which is courtesy of Century Fox's YouTube channel:
“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”
