Shooting Starts on Kill Kane

by Nav Qateel

The new indie crime-thriller, Kill Kane, directed by Adam Stephen Kelly, has just commenced shooting from 2nd April. Starring Vinnie Jones, Sean Cronin and Nicole Faraday, Kill Kane is being filmed in South Wales, UK.

With one already under his belt, Adam Stephen Kelly had previously written and directed the fantastic short film, Done In (review), in 2014, and Kill Kane will be his debut feature. Kill Kane is written and co-produced by prolific Welsh horror filmmaker Andrew Jones, who approached Kelly to helm after being impressed by his handling of Done In.

Emily Coupland is also co-producing with Robert Graham acting as exec producer. Jonathan McLaughlin is DP.

When I asked Kelly by email about the part Vinnie Jones would play in the film, he had this to say: “Vinnie really felt a connection with the main character when he read the script. For anyone who’s familiar with his body of work, it’s a character that you really wouldn’t expect him to play. It’s something very different and I think audiences are in for a pleasant surprise.”

Kill Kane will be distributed by 4Digital here and in the UK.

Done In was one of my favorite short films of 2014, and after seeing Kelly in action, I’m extremely keen to see what the director can do with a feature-length movie. I strongly recommend you watch Done In if you get the chance.
