Mulder and Scully making a comeback
by Nav Qateel
According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, Fox will revive their popular show The X-Files, for a limited six episode run.
It’s reported that “both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are locked in to reprise their respective roles of FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, parts they originated in 1993 and played (for the most part) over nine seasons and two feature films. Production on the six-part series will start this summer, with a premiere date to be announced at a later date.”
The report went on to explain that X-Files creator and writer, Chris Carter, will also be coming back, as well as Fox Television Group chairmen and CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman, making the event a reunion for them.

This is the third TV show to be revived recently, after Kiefer Sutherland in 24: Live Another Day and David Lynch’s Twin Peaks.
The advantage of a revival is obvious, especially when you consider the massive fanbase The X-Files still commands. This alone should all but ensure at the very least a moderate amount of success over the six episode run.
Is this a good idea, and would you like to see other TV shows being revived? You can respond below.
