On Tuesday, the actress that most of the world will remember fondly as Princess Leia Organa from the iconic Star Wars trilogy, sadly passed away two days after suffering from a massive heart attack during a flight from London to Los Angeles.
Carrie Fisher, daughter of Debbie Reynolds, shot to fame in 1977 after co-starring with Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill in George Lucas’s Star Wars. Fisher would reprise the role a further four times, most recently in J.J. Abrams Star Wars reboot, The Force Awakens.
The actress is expected to appear for a fifth, and sadly final time as Leia in the Rian Johnson directed eighth Star Wars film, which is currently in post production.
May The Force Be With You, Carrie.
