Book of the Stranger
(Spoiler Warning) Big things are coming in the upcoming episodes of season six’s Game of Thrones. It seems as though each story’s pieces are aligning and all that’s left is for someone to simply make the first move. Here is a recap of what happened on last night’s episode titled “Book of the Stranger”:
1. Sansa and Jon have reunited. This is the first time that any of the Stark siblings have been reunited since they all originally split up. I was pleasantly surprised that HBO didn’t waste any time getting to this because they could have easily just spent the episode showing Sansa, Brienne, and Podrick trekking through the snow to get to the Wall. But instead, we have been placed smack in the middle of the beginning of a new war in the North: one that will involve our reunited Stark siblings and their fight against Ramsay Bolton in order to retrieve Rickon. Will we see the Starks finally reclaim Winterfell this season?
Also, Littlefinger has returned to the Vale and assembled an army to send Sansa’s way to help her fight Ramsay. Theon has also returned to his home in Pyke to help his sister, Yara, take her father’s place as ruler of the Iron Islands. Will the Greyjoys send their own troops to aid the Stark’s battle against Theon’s torturer?

2. Cersei, Jaime, Lady Olenna, and Kevan plot to defeat the High Sparrow. These four are finally coming up with a plan to take down their raggedy, sanctimonious nuisance. Even though they are going behind King Tommen’s back, if the plan is successful, Tommen shouldn’t be too upset because this means he will have Margarey back. However, the High Sparrow seems to have eyes and ears everywhere…will he see their strategy in time to stop it?
3. Daenerys kills all of the Dothraki Khals. Yet again, Daenerys emerges from a fire naked and unscathed. After the Khals savagely discuss all of the disgusting things they are going to Daenerys, she responds by burning them all alive. The Dothraki watch as she appears from the flames completely unharmed, and they bow to her. Now that all of the Dothraki leaders are dead, perhaps Daenerys will become their Khaleesi once more and they will follow her back to Mereen to help her regain some control of the city.
It seems that everything is falling into place for these characters and with just a slight tipping of the scales in the very near future, all hell is going to break loose.
