Harms Way: Demo

From Long Beach comes Harms Way. Their five song demo sounds as if it’s careening off somewhere toward pop, emo or punk. If they were leaning more towards the pop sound, I would say they were heading in the right direction. They just need to get rid of the seemingly misplaced feedback guitar. There is definitely some high energy riffs but the vocals tend to drag these songs down. Maybe with some outside production they could find their direction and develop a solid sound. Overall it’s not bad, though I must admit, I get bored with of the excessive and unnecessary use of the f-word as a means of shock. Thankfully this approach is only used on one of their songs.
