Johnna Hodge’s new film, Redhead, is making the rounds at festivals and more!
Johnna Hodge is one of the owners of Cinesavage Films and she has made three features along with a variety of shorts. She’s an actor, a model, and utility crew member working with sound and effects (whatever is needed to get the job done).
Her most recent film, Redhead, is a horror feature storming the festival circuit and looking for distribution. Cinesavage Films has even started work on its sequel, Readhead 2: Deadhead.
INFLUX: What are you currently working on that you can share with us?
JOHNNA: We just got done the worldwide premiere for Redhead and it’s going to big film festivals now. We have already won an award for Best Horror Feature Film.
INFLUX: What are your hopes for your current project?
JOHNNA: We want to get a big distributor instead of going the route of putting Redhead out ourselves to streaming.
INFLUX: What have been your greatest challenges as an indie filmmaker?
JOHNNA: There are so many crazy things we had to challenge but it was worth everything we went through for the films.
INFLUX: What has been your most significant accomplishment as a filmmaker?
JOHNNA: The happiness of making the movies and knowing people are going to get enjoyment out if hard work.
INFLUX: Tell us about some of your past projects and where we can watch them if they’re available.
JOHNNA: Conversation with the Devil is a short film on Shorts TV streaming, Reunion from Hell is streaming worldwide, Reunion from Hell 2 is now approved for streaming and getting ready to go worldwide and now Redhead has had its premiere and going to 38 festivals and we have already won Best Horror Feature and we are going to bigger festivals now. Staying positive about everything and appreciate everyone involved

INFLUX: What goals to you have for yourself moving forward?
JOHNNA: I want to make people happy with movies . I would love to meet new people and travel especially if Redhead does well.
INFLUX: What advice would you give to your younger self just starting out?
JOHNNA: You can do anything you set your mind on and make your hopes and dreams happen.
INFLUX: Was there ever a time when you considered a different career or pathway?
JOHNNA: would never want to stop filmmaking.
