It’s Broadway time!

Segerstrom Center for The Arts

Presents

Priscilla Queen of the Desert

Running Wed. 10/22-Sunday 10/27

I am excited to see this broadway show because I’ve never seen the broadway show first. My experience with broadway shows as always been the movie first. Now for Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical which opens a FANTASTIC Broadway season for the Segerstrom Center for The Arts.

The play is based on the 1994 hit comedy film (same name, not adapted). Priscilla became an international hit when it broke box office records in Canada, England and Australia. Now it is taking America by storm (having played Houston it is now playing in San Diego through 10/20 then moves on to San Jose, Sacramento and Washington).

The New York Post crowned Priscilla “A feel-good show with a big, joyous heart. Priscilla ramps up the thrills!”

This outrageously fun musical tells the story of a trio of friends on a road trip of a life time, who get aboard a battered bus searching for love and friendship in the middle of Australia’s outback and up finding more than they could have ever dreamed for. This is a perfect story about standing up for your friends and staying true to yourself.

Get ready for the eye candy in this show. Priscilla boasts over 500 spectacular (2011 Tony Award-winning) costumes and features an incredible hit parade of over 20 dance-floor favorites including “Finally” and “I will Survive”.

I’m excited Influx Magazine gets to share the good news of this Broadway season and don’t forget Wizard of Oz, Ghost The Musical and Chicago, Evita, Mama Mia and Disney’s Beauty and The Beast to name only a few are also coming to town. This will be a season to remember!
