Will Ferrell Involved In Car Accident; Released From Hospital ‘Unharmed’

The news today was about Will Ferrell, as the car he was in was hit by another vehicle on the freeway. Ferrell was rushed to the hospital, but the good news is that Ferrell was released "unharmed."

The accident happened this morning, as Ferrell's SUV flipped on its side as a results of the accident. A rep for the actor said in a statement, “While traveling back to Los Angeles after hosting a voter registration event in San Diego, a car carrying Will Ferrell and three of his colleagues was struck on the freeway by another vehicle."

Will was put in an ambulance at the scene, but TMZ reported that he was seen talking on his cell phone when being put in the ambulance. The statement from the rep added, “Will and his colleague, Andrew Steele, were unhurt and have been released from an Orange County hospital."

However, Ferrell's longtime driver and another colleague were still in the hospital, but in stable condition, according to Ferrell's rep.

Will is staying close by his friends as they are in the hospital and he gave a shoutout to the first responders. The statement said, “Will is staying close by as his friends are being treated, and has expressed his deep gratitude to the first responders who were immediately at the scene and to the hospital team that took such great care of them. He’s also grateful for all the well wishes he and his friends are receiving.”

Ferrell was coming back from a voter registration event, which was sponsored by Funny or Die. At the event, Ferrell appeared as his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy.
