STEINWAY SOCIETY & CV REP PRESENT WORLD PREMIERE OF NEW MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS PERFORMED BY 5 WORLD-CLASS MUSICIANS

February 22, 2014 marks the highly-anticipated world premiere of four original compositions by renowned composer Joe Giarrusso for piano, cello and violin.  To magnify the importance of the event presented by The Steinway Society of Riverside County, in conjunction with The Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre of Rancho Mirage, five international artists have been drafted to perform the world premiere presentations.

The program of four original compositions will consist of the following:  “Opus 35, Giubilo Suite for Two Pianos” to be performed by Giorgi Latso (piano) and Jim McCormick (piano); “Opus 36, Violin, Cello and Piano Trio”  to be performed by Hannah Yaghoubian (violin),  Esther Yaghoubian (cello) and Jonathan Mamora (piano); “Opus 24, American Immigrant” to be performed by Giorgi Latso (piano) and “Fantasy on a Rainbow”  to be performed by sisters Esther (cello) and Hannah (violin) Yaghoubian.

What more could a composer wish for,” says Mr. Giarrusso, an important figure and major contributor to the vibrancy of the Coachella Valley music and theater scene.

The combined talents of the performing five musicians are wide and deep.  Coming from areas as far as Vienna and as close as Los Angeles and Joshua Tree,  their curriculum vitae include performances in Salzburg, Vienna, Berlin, Mannheim, Florence, Lisbon, Beijing, New York, Chicago, St. Louis and Honolulu.  Lead pianist Giorgi Latso, under the private patronage of H.S.H. the Princess Marie of Liechtenstein, holds a professorship at the Vienna Prayner Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna.

CV Rep is an educational and theatrical organization presenting innovative productions and children’s outreach programs designed to enrich the quality of life for Coachella Valley residents and visitors. The Steinway Society of Riverside County brings music education to children through a variety of programs designed to engage, educate and inspire children.  The Society also provides financial awards through competition and provides music lessons for deserving children with financial need.
